Free Online Teleprompter
Paste a script, set the speed to your speaking pace, and read from a fullscreen teleprompter that scrolls exactly as fast as you planned. No sign-up, no upload, no watermark.
The prompter scrolls at your words-per-minute setting, so the countdown hits zero when your speech ends. Set the pace, press Open teleprompter, and Space plays or pauses. Everything runs in your browser; the script never leaves your device. For a timing estimate before you rehearse, use the words to time calculator first.

Rehearsing with a teleprompter
- Break lines at phrase boundaries, not at the edge of the screen. A line that ends mid-clause forces the eye to wrap at the wrong moment.
- Set the speed to your planned pace, not your fastest comfortable pace. Rehearsal that runs faster than delivery teaches you the wrong timing.
- Watch the drift indicator, not the clock. A steady +3 seconds means you are slightly ahead — fine. A drift that grows every minute means you are rushing the start.
- Look at the lens, not the screen, once you know the line. The prompter is for rehearsal; eye contact is for the room.
Questions about the teleprompter
Yes, and there is no sign-up. Paste your script, set the scroll speed to match your speaking pace, and open the fullscreen prompter. Everything runs in the browser on your own device — the script is never uploaded to a server.
Space plays and pauses. Escape closes the prompter. While it is open, the minus and plus buttons change scroll speed in 10 words-per-minute steps, A-minus and A-plus change the font size, and Mirror flips the text horizontally for use with a beam-splitter glass.
Set it to the pace you plan to deliver, then rehearse once with the timer. The planning paces on this site are 110 words per minute deliberate, 130 standard and 160 brisk for video and voiceover. The prompter scrolls to finish exactly when the clock does, so the speed you set is the speed you practise.
Yes. The prompter is a fullscreen overlay that works on any modern browser. On a phone, hold it in portrait and keep the font size large enough to read from arm's length. Mirror mode is designed for laptops or tablets placed behind glass.
It shows a countdown to the planned finish and a live drift indicator that tells you whether you are ahead of or behind schedule. For a full word count, timing estimate and delivery analysis, paste the script into the words to time calculator first, then open the prompter from there.
The scroll rate follows words per minute, not pixels per second, so short lines and long lines both advance at the set pace. If it still feels off, your actual delivery pace differs from the number you set — measure it with the Test my pace control on the home page, then apply that WPM here.
